Fastest Growing Amazon.com Sellers, October 2015 Report

October had one of the most celebrated holidays of the year - Halloween. As the days got closer to October 31st, sales for costumes and other party merchandize skyrocketed. We used feedback as a way to estimate how much sales has the seller been able to gain. But instead of looking at what everyones' feedback was at the end of the month, we calculated the change in feedback throughout the month. The table below is top 100 sellers ranked by the growth rate. As you can see, most of the sellers who have been able to take advantage of the Halloween increased their sales drastically.

Amazon Opens a Handmade Marketplace

On Thursday Amazon opened a stricly handcrafted-goods marketplace. Handmade at Amazon is their first venture into competing with the likes of Etsy at selling handmade products. Etsy has been able to grow their yearly sales to $2 billion, compared to $75 billion of Amazon, so it is no surprise that Amazon wants to be in the game as well.
