There are over 70,000 sellers with sales of more than $100,000 selling on Amazon

In Jeff Bezos’ letter to shareholders, he reports that:

There are over 70,000 entrepreneurs with sales of more than $100,000 a year selling on Amazon, and they’ve created over 600,000 new jobs.

This is amazing news for the Amazon marketplace, and showcases the large amount of retail businesses behind the scenes of Amazon.com. Top sellers on Amazon.com have been known to have sales exceeding $100 million a year, but we will be also covering smaller sellers as well to showcase the work they’ve done to reach $100,000 a year milestone.

Jeff Bezos also mentions that the Amazon Lending program for marketplace sellers has provided aggregate funding through short-term loans of over $1.5 billion to sellers in the U.S., U.K. and Japan.

Tower Paddle Boards is one of the fastest-growing companies in San Diego, in part with a little help from Amazon Lending, Jeff Bezos reports.
