ToysNGamesEtc is one of the oldest and best known sellers in the Amazon.com marketplace. As the name suggests they started selling Toys first, but by now have branched in practically every department on Amazon.

We only just launched Ebay analysis, but we are ready to start analyzing the growth of all sellers in the marketplace. What surprised us is how many of the top sellers are not based in the USA. China and India both look very strong in the list, offering great selection and prices to buyers thousands of miles away. Ebay is still a new marketplace for us, so we are just learning about the intricate details of it - expect much more in the future as we unravel more details.

Without a big announcement Amazon has entered the Fashion business. Ed Yruma, managing director at KeyBanc Capital Markets reported yesterday that Amazon.com has launched over 1,800 different fashion products on its site, under seven different brand names it trademarked. Those brands are Franklin & Freeman, Franklin Tailored, James & Erin, Lark & Ro, North Eleven, Scout + Ro and Society New York.

Both Amazon and eBay recently announced their 2015 Q4 results. Since the fourth quarter has most of the key shopping events - Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas shopping - everyone was excited to see how well those companies did. We have recently started monitoring eBay sellers so we looked at which one came out ahead.
Read moreIn an announcement by Amazon earlier this month, it was revealed that Fulfillment by Amazon shipped more than 1 billion products for sellers worldwide. Furthermore, sellers using the FBA service grew more than 50 percent year-over-year. Amazon did not disclose the growth rate of other sellers, but we can only assume that overall FBA sellers do better than merchant fulfilled ones. Having access to Prime customers is a big push.
