Marketplace Pulse Celebrates First Birthday

Marketplace Pulse has been operating for just a year, but we are happy with what we were able to achieve. Today we celebrate our first birthday!

Launched in August 2015 as a basic list of top Amazon sellers we were able to expand it to be the leading provider of ecommerce analytics and insights.

We have since included all Amazon marketplaces, all eBay marketplaces and recently Walmart and Etsy marketplaces as well. That is 23 marketplaces in total. Across all those marketplace we track over 9 million sellers.

We are working on expanding this further, especially in international markets. Markets like South America and Asia have been on our radar for a while as they have unique trends to look at.

The more data we collected, the better we became at analyzing the market and providing insights. Our articles have become the trusted source for ecommerce coverage with many unique analysis and opinions. For example we recently reported on Rise of Scam Amazon Marketplace Sellers which highlighted the increasing amount of sellers defrauding customers by getting a lot of sales at very low prices, but never delivering the products. These sort of articles are possible because we are able to look at each marketplace in a quantifiable way.

To celebrate this we have redesigned the website to make it better and easier to use. We spent a lot of time analyzing what our visitors expect and we think we have improved from the previous experience considerably.

While the first year was spent growing the prototype into the market leader, we have plans beyond that.
