Walmart Ecommerce Growth

After 2 years of slowing growth, Walmart ecommerce efforts are starting to show results.

Since acquiring in August, Q3 was the first quarter to include sales in total ecommerce sales. Walmart does not break it down how much alone has contributed, but it should continue to boost ecommerce growth.

Ecommerce is still only 0.5% of total Walmart sales. However last year it was just 0.15%, so ecommerce will continue to become a bigger part of Walmart every quarter. has added over 8 million SKUs over the past 3 months alone, largely thanks to the growing marketplace. We have noticed that over 1,000 new sellers are joining the markeplace a month.
