Amazon Marketplace Sellers Increase Sales by 22% in November 2015

Amazon Marketplace sellers increased sales on average by 22% in November. This is higher than the 15% baseline, as ChannelAdvisor reports. November is a good indicator on how well December, the most important month of the yearly retail cycle, is going to look like. Thus we expect December to be as strong if not stronger.

November had two of the largest retail days of the year - Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Compared to last year when Cyber Monday was in December, this year both happened in November. Cyber Monday alone has generated over $3 billion in sales across all online channels. This made Cyber Monday the most important day of the year for online retailers.

Up from 2014, 35.8% of sales were fulfilled by FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon). As more customers join the Prime program it becomes more difficult to compete for their purchases as a merchant fulfilled seller. As visible in our November 2015 Report, a lot of the biggest sellers are all-in with FBA.
