Sears Marketplace

Sears is an American chain of department stores, one of top 20 largest retailers in the US. It is fifth-largest department store company by sales, behind Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and The Home Depot.

Sears launched the Sears Marketplace in 2009. Following the model of both Amazon and Walmart, third-party sellers appear alongside Sears offers.

Fulfilled by Sears (FBS) was launched in 2013, allowing sellers to offload their inventory to Sears. It was designed to directly compete with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA).

Sears stopped reporting e-commerce growth in late 2014, putting a lid on online retail results.
